Garage Sale

Tom and I HATE putting on garage sales!  But back in October some of our friends and family decided that it would be a good idea to have one to help us raise money for the invitro we were going to do in November.  It ended up being an enormous success and quite a lot of fun.  The only problem was we had been donated so much stuff to sell that we still had enough for a whole other garage sale.  So last Saturday we ended our garage sale days by throwing one at my moms house w/ others on her street participating.  It actually ended up being pretty fun, mostly because my mom and Stevie were there helping all along the way.  A great big THANKS to both of them for all their selling, organizing, hauling and more!  I love you guys!

We also had Tom's Grandma's funeral on the same day.  Colleen was diagnosed w/ lung cancer that had spread to her liver only two weeks before she passed.  It was all very fast and sudden for everyone but I truly believe that Heavenly Father showed Colleen and the Swenk family so much mercy by allowing her to pass quickly.  She was a wonderful woman who loved her family and was loved by so many.  We already miss her.  We love you Colleen!
