Party at the Totah

My mom and her great friend Shirah rented out the Totah Theater and then invited a bunch of friends for dinner and a movie.  It was so much fun!  We had a huge selection of nacho and frito pie toppings and watched the movie "UP".  If you haven't seen that make sure you have kleenex available for the first ten minutes or so and the last ten min. or so.  So sweet, cute, funny and heartwarming!
Here are some pics of my family...

New Moon

We had an awesome New Moon party at a friend of mine's house.  It was actually a pretty big party w/ lots of food, friends, a life size cardboard likeness of Edward and a killer game of jeopardy!  The people featured in the picture are the fanatical fans who went to the mid-night showing.

I have to say that Tom is NOT a fan of this picture!  That's why I didn't post the one where I'm kissing Edwards figure on the cheek! :)

Twilight!

Oh my gosh, Tom's brother and cousin are closet Twilight fans!  I'm so glad this picture was caught of them trying to get Robert Pattinson's autograph!!!  Thanks for catching this picture Tom!  Wait a minute...why were you there?

Wicked

My crazy mom decided to take her family and friends to Wicked in Denver.  So we left Saturday at 5 am and came home Sunday evening.  It was crazy but we had a blast and Wicked was AMAZING!
It was so nice to see my brothers, Ryan and Clint, and we sure missed the ones who couldn't make it.

Us on our way.  There were 7 people in a suburban that held 7 people.  Virginia finally decided the floor was more comfortable.  Paige is in the back by my mom, she's Clint's daughter who is now 14 years old!  She's beautiful and so sweet.  It was so nice to get to know Paige and Ian a little bit.  I haven't seen them since Paige was about 1.

All of us at dinner.

Super cute Kaidence!  She was wearing a Broncos jersey which stole Tom's heart immediately.
Left to right: Amber, Tom, Ian, Natasha (Ian and Paiges' mom), Clint, Ryan, Mom, Tiffany, Stevie, Taylor and Paige
I love you all!  Thanks for a fun and memorable weekend!

Monday Night Football/Halloween FHE

The Broncos played their Monday night FB game this week so we decided to have FHE at our house.  It was so fun to have so many fun people in our little house.

Cute Girls :)

Cute boys :)

Mom and Taylor enjoying their scary pudding treats!

Stevie always laughs at how dorky I am.  Gotta love Vanessa's bunny ears, or MY bunny ears I guess.

My mom showing off her icing talents...can you tell what that is?  It's the Bronco's horse, of course!

Halloween Recipe

I found this recipe on the Better Homes and Garden website.  I haven't tried it yet but I'm going to soon.  I LOVE pizza, calzones, pasta, anything Italian and really bad for you!!!

Witch's Hat Calzones

Prep: 35 minutes

Bake: 8 minutes

1 3.5-ounce package sliced pepperoni

1/2 of an 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup finely shredded or grated Parmesan cheese

2 8-ounce packages (16) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 egg, lightly beaten

1 tablespoon water

Finely shredded or grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Dried Italian seasoning (optional)

Crushed red pepper (optional)

Pizza sauce, warmed (optional)

Directions

1. Reserve six to eight slices of pepperoni; set aside. Chop remaining pepperoni slices.

2. In a small bowl, stir together chopped pepperoni, cream cheese and the 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese until well combined. Set aside.

3. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Lightly grease an extralarge baking sheet; set aside. On a lightly floured surface, unroll each package of crescent-roll dough. Separate dough into individual triangles. Place half the dough triangles on the prepared baking sheet. Place about 1 tablespoon of the pepperoni-cheese mixture in the center of each triangle. In a small bowl, stir together egg and water. Brush edges of triangles with some of the egg mixture. Top with remaining triangles. Press triangle edges together to seal. Brush dough with egg mixture. Fold short edges of the dough triangles up, forming a hat brim. Prick the dough a few times with the tines of a fork.

4. If desired, sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and/or crushed red pepper. Cut reserved pieces of pepperoni into small stars, crescent moons, and/or small diamonds. Press onto dough for decoration. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden. Serve warm with pizza sauce, if desired. Makes 8 calzones

Since I was a major slacker this Conference weekend and went to Denver w/ friends instead of being a good girl and watching Conference, I'm making up for that time now.  I have a goal to watch at least two talks a day and I can't tell you how the gospel has opened up for me these past few days.  I absolutely LOVE Conference but I always get so bogged down by all the time, talks and Spiritual outpouring that comes each Conference weekend.  I end up falling asleep during the Sunday afternoon session or getting majorly side tracked during many of the talks.  I'm not trying to say that we should all skip watching Conference and wait to watch it one talk at a time, but I have been Spiritually fed for the past week.  Being able to focus on one incredibly Spritual message at a time has helped me to grasp each meaning and make some serious reflection on my life.  I've found a peace that I've neglected to feel for a while because of my own lack of effort.  I've found new motivation to do the daily things that help me keep that wonderful peace.  I've found a renewed conviction that this IS the TRUE church of our Savior Jesus Christ.  I love the Gospel and I'm so grateful for God's Prophets and Servants who testify with complete conviction that they know God lives.  I can't help but to feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude that I too am a member of this great work.

Denver Broncos!

Warning: lots of pictures ahead!!!

Since Jake got out of the army and home from Iraq his cousin lets him pick one game a year to have his season tickets.  The last couple of years Tom hasn't been able to go so they were seriously looking forward to this year!  Broncos vs. Cowboys!  Go Broncos!

A couple of happy dudes!

This is just one of the random pictures Tom took of the players.
I got to spend some time w/ Jake's fiance Vanessa and their cousin Ryan's wife Elizabeth.  It was a really great day!

Denver

We went to Denver this past weekend to spend some time w/ Tom and Jakes cousin Ryan and his wonderful family.  Yes, there are three tv's in this picture!  Three tv's, three Play Station 3's, 3 caffinated beverages = 3 happy guys!

The girls cheering on their men...or just talking about girl stuff!  Elizabeth is Ryan's beautiful wife and was such a sweet hostess.

The gang at Elitchs.  I haven't been there since I was in Junion High, it was really fun to go again.

These two pictures are for my mom and her obsession w/ funerals.

This is Ryan's little boy Payton.  He called me "Ammerger" the whole time!  I love it!  I kept asking him what my name was just so I could hear him say it again!!!

The boys prooving how manly they were.  Of course, not one of them made it to the top.

Jake and Vanessa racing at Dave and Busters.  This was a really fun place.  It had a really nice restaraunt and was pretty much a giant archade.

Tom and Jake had to do the football throwing game, of course!

September Wedding

Our friend from childhood got married to a man who seems to be her perfect match.  The wedding was beautiful and Lindy looked so happy!

Father of the Bride w/ his cute Grandson.

A couple of handsome men!

A couple more handsome men!  These are two of the bride's brothers, Shawn and Matt.

My mom was of course in charge of the music.  She did a wonderful job and that dance floor was hoppin!

Happy Fall

I absolutely love this time of year.  I'm not too crazy about the chilly mornings when leaving for work at 6:30, but the changing leaves, the fresh and crisp air, the feeling that the holidays are coming!  What a wonderful feeling.  I was sad when summer ended, but now that I'm over that I can fully enjoy what's in store.

The Big 1-8!

Stevie turns 18 today!  Can you believe it?  I know I can't.  My mom's baby is 18!  Wow!
These are a few random pictures I found of him in the past few years.  He's been so much fun and such a joy to the whole family.  I'm grateful for the time I've had to get to know him since moving back to Farmington two years ago.  I know he's the little brother that Tom never had but always wanted!
Love you Stevie!!!

Can you tell he's my "little" brother?

Happy Birthday Stevie!

The Big 2-7!

Tom always makes my "Birth-Week" so special!  That's right I get a Birth-week!  I don't know how or when that started but I LOVE it!  My week started last Thursday when Tom and I went to Albuquerque.  We went for a doctor's appointment, but after that it was all fun and games!
We ate and shopped and ate and relaxed and ate!  We stayed at a hotel and even rented a movie in the hotel room, which we've never done, and just enjoyed each other w/ no other distractions.  The next morning we swam and ate and then went to the Temple.  It was a beautiful day w/ my wonderful husband.
The weekend continued in bliss, but the best surprise came when Tom told me that he got me off of work for my Birthday.  That was seriously the best present EVER!  He made me my favorite breakfast, crepes, w/ lots of other options...cinnamon rolls, bacon, sausage...can you say calories?  Don't worry I ate every bite!
Yes I ate a lot this week!!! :)
These coupons were part of my gift.  I hope you can see the pictures, I can't help but smile at my cute man.
Then to top it all off my mom took me to Wal-mart last night.  One of my favorite things in college was when my mom would visit and take Tom and I to Walmart.  You get to actually look at all those wonderful things Walmart has to offer that you normally completely avoid.  Just hanging out w/ my mom was the biggest treat of all, but I can't tell you how fun it was to bring all my treasures home.  Thanks mom, I love you!
Thank you Tom for another amazing Birth-week.
The temple.
I'm so grateful for the gospel.  I seriously don't know what I'd do or where I'd be without my testimony.

Camping at beautiful Vallecito

My mom took a bunch of her kids camping and fishing over the long weekend. It was so nice to be outside and w/ family, we really had a lot of fun. We've certainly all grown up, there wasn't any fighting!
Here Barry Michael and Stevie are getting ready to eat some breakfast.

Barry Michael and Tom went fishing in the gorgeous river. I love this picture that Tom took. These two were made to be fishing buddies!

My amazingly handsome husband. Have I mentioned that I love him? Just checking!

Barry Michael, Scary Taylor and my beautiful mom.
